Even though we both went to UNC Charlotte, we actually met through the Bumble dating app! We guess the location radius worked in our favor since we were both on campus when we matched. We started chatting online and then had our first date a couple of days later at the local bar, The Flying Saucer. We were completely locked into conversation and kept finding interest in each other. We talked about family, friends, school, and parallels in our lives. We ended up talking for over six hours, eventually having to check our phones to see messages from friends making sure we didn’t need to be saved.

We made it official two weeks later, on October 15th, 2022. We spent the next three years seeing each other in between classes, going to football games, taking weekend trips, getting to know each other’s family and friends, graduating college, enjoying the Charlotte nightlife, and loving our golden retriever, Bailey.

We got engaged in our favorite spot in Charleston, SC, on October 11th, 2025. It was cold, rainy, and muddy—but perfect. The anticipation of the day was laughed off as we took pictures in the streets of downtown Charleston in the rain, soaking wet, enjoying the moment before sharing it with anyone else.

Looking back, every moment led us exactly where we were meant to be. What began as a simple match has grown into a partnership rooted in faith, love, friendship, and shared dreams. We are so grateful for the journey that brought us here and even more excited for everything still to come. We can’t wait to continue building a life side by side, surrounded by the people we love most.
